In addition to Horse of the Year Points, many exhibitors have interim goals to attend specific Championships and Finals.

 

Here is the scoop on the summer season:

 

Hunter Breeding Championships (East Coast-Warrenton, VA)(West Coast-Del Mar, CA)

Regular Ponies: Champion or Reserve at AA show

    OR Champion or 3 Reserves at A show

 with shows starting between July 1 and June 30

Pony Jumper Team Championships (Lexington, KY)

Qualifying period June 2 through June 1.

For 2013 Championshios, Zone qualifications vary. Beginning June 2, 2013, only Pony Jumper classes set at 1.05m will count for qualifying and faults from each round must be reported.  JP150.4; GR1214.1

 

Junior Hunter Championships-(East Coast-Saugerties, NY)

(West Coast - Del Mar, CA):

Champion or Reseve at A or AA show

North American Junior/Young Rider Championships

Regionals throughout country; Declaration of Region required by July 30

WIHS Equitation Challenge (Washington International)

Qualifying period September 1 through August 31

Top 28 East Coast League (Zones 1-5) riders and Top 7 West Coast League (Zones 6-12) riders compete at WIHS.

 

WIHS Pony Equitation (Washington International)

Qualifying period September 1 through August 31

Top 25 riders. 

 

WIHS Children's Hunter/WIHS Adult Amatuer Hunter/WIHS Children's Jumper/WIHS Adult Amatuer Jumper 

Qualifying period September 1 through August 31.

 

T.H.I.S. Children's Medal/Ariat Adult Medal (Pennsylvania National)

Qualifying period August 21 through August 20.

Leading rider from each Zone and Canada plus top ranked riders; approximately 40 entries for THIS, 30 entries for Ariat.

 

NAL Children's Jumper/NAL Adult Amateur Jumper/NAL Low JR-AO Jumper/NAL Children's Hunter/NAL Adult Amateur Hunter/NAL Pony Jumper

Qualifying period September 1 through August 31.

Must otherwise be qualified and entered at Pennsylvania National or Las Vegas National; top 30 combinations will be invited to compete at PNHS; top 25 combinations will be invited to compete at LVNHS.

M&S Reginal Finals - St. Charles, IL

Midwestern League Finals -  The Kentucky National

Qualifying period up to League Finals. 

Nominated horse must have completed and earned a score in a minimm of three YJC Qualifiers.  The BEST THREE qualifying rounds will count toward the YJC rankings.   Classes with less than three competitors will receive credit for the round but no points for placement.   Additional points will be assigned based on number of entries in the Qualifying class; horses that do not earn a ribbon will earn 1 point for each clear round in the Qualifying class.  In the case of horses tied in ranking for acceptance into the Eastern League Finals, ties will be broken by scores earned in the fourth or fifth qualifiers.  Table of points and other rules available at www.youngjumpers.com.
